You can see a photo of the medals below. They are made of heavy metal and are 6cm in diameter. We feel these are worthwhile mementos for those that place in these championships.

As well, we are doing something different from most indoor rowing championships.  As this is a Queensland event, we plan to make sure that the fastest three Queenslanders in each event will receive a medal. Interstate and international visitors will be awared medals as per normal if they place in a race. That means, if as a Queenslander you place fourth in a race where an interstate or international competitor has placed ahead of you, a medal will be awarded to you as well.

On the day we will also have an engraver present who will engrave your medal for a small fee. The engraver’s name is Gary Tyler (of Summerland Trophies) and he is used by Masters Swimming QLD for engraving their medals at meets and championships.

The charge for engraving medals is $6 of which $1 will go to the Sunshine Coast Indoor Rowing club.

You are also allowed to bring along other medals to be engraved on the day.
