While anyone can hop on a rowing machine and row, that doesn’t mean they are doing it properly or even know the advantages of indoor rowing. We have included some information for you to explore.
While indoor rowing is virtually injury free, there is some risk if your technique is not correct or if you have a damper setting that is too high for your fitness and strength. For the new people to indoor rowing, there are plenty of people who are willing and much qualified to assist you. Just ask any of the officials on the day and they will direct you to those who can help.
IMPORTANT MEDICAL RECOMMENDATION: If on race day you feel unwell, or have recently been suffering from a virus, we recommend that you do not race. Indoor racing requires maximal effort and the event organizers take no responsibility for illness or injury caused as a consequence. If you have any doubts you should seek medical advice prior to racing.
